Annette

Two years after a car accident I hobbled into Physiomed for a consultation after a referral from my insurance company.  My first impression was how professional, clean and organized Pysiomed appeared, with a very large and well equipped gym. My initial consultation with Dr. Thom, the chiropractor and then Sirena, the clinical director(position?) was very thorough and my treatment plan was worked out immediately.  The plan included massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy, chiropracty, and psychotherapy.  Jason, the massage therapist, was able to help with my neck and shoulders and relieve tension allowing for more mobility.  Audrey the acupuncturist, took the time to listen to my complaints and treat them effectively.  I was especially bothered by pain in the back of my legs and headaches, both of which she managed to relieve, allowing me to sleep soundly.  Josh, an MSc in Kinesiology, had an impressive repertoire of physiotherapy exercises. Having an understanding of the biomechanics of movement, and how to treat chronic pain, as well as dealing with the aging body, he was able to increase my strength, stamina and reestablish balance all without reinjury and without undue pain.  He also instilled in me a sense of empowerment so that I could do exercises on my own at home.  At each visit we would talk about any pain, or limitations in movement and he would tailor his exercises to address that.  He often went beyond his duties to help with stretching or rolling tight muscles after the physiotherapy session.  I also had a few sessions of physiotherapy with Zamiir, who provided me with exercises that I could take outdoors and spent time showing me the correct movements to minimize injury.  Muhammed Ali (spelling?) the psychologist put me back behind the wheel of my car with confidence.  He was always kind, listened and helped with changing negative thinking.  I really looked forward to my visits to Physiomed.  All the staff are kind, considerate, compassionate, willing to help, and they make you feel comfortable and at home.  They also work extremely well together, are timely, and text you with all your appointment times.  I cannot thank them enough for helping me in my recovery, for their continued support, and for improving my quality of life.  I would recommend them to everyone who has been in an accident, or to anyone wanting to lose weight, or get healthier and fit.  Thank you Physiomed.

My Physiomed Lakeshore Story

Having been to many physio clinics, I have found the majority just plain inadequate. This is not the case with Physiomed Lakeshore. I am impressed with the professionalism, education and knowledge of all the staff. They are top drawer. The fact they are athletic, shows they practice what they preach.

The program is great. They don’t just do hands on work but have an exercise program that is one-on one, with excellent equipment and a comfortable atmosphere.

As aging athlete, not only have they helped with all my injuries, aches and pains but I have also gotten stronger. I can do my chores easier and I know for a fact it’s prevented me from falling in slippery wintering conditions.

The therapy rooms are well equipped for modern treatment. Physiomed Lakeshore procured top specialists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and chiropodists.

Three years in, it’s not always easy, but feeling healthier all the time. Age is just a number.

I highly recommend the team at Physiomed Lakeshore.

Sincerely,

D. E. Renwick
