Dr. Joanne Hartley

Dr. Hartley began her professional career at the University of Toronto in the Neuroscience program. She then went on to graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1998. During her professional tenure, Dr. Hartley developed extensive experience in orthopaedics, working with other health care practitioners and realizing the huge positive impact on taking an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare. Dr. Hartley has also completed a 3 year post-graduate program in Rehabilitation. She has a passion for acquiring new skills and "tools" to treat her patients as she has acknowledged through her many years of experience that every patient responds differently. Dr. Hartley believes in passing her knowledge and experience to her staff and patients not only to treat commonly referred conditions but to prevent further injuries and maximize performance through education and the development of safe and effective exercise programs.



Dr. Robert Tarulli

Registered Chiropractor, Registered Athletic Therapist, Acupuncture Provider

Dr. Tarulli holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Science with honours that was completed concurrently with the Athletic Therapy Certificate program at York University. After two years as head team therapist for Ontario Basketball’s 2010 and 2011 national championship teams, he went on to pursue his Doctorate in Chiropractic at CMCC, graduating with clinic honours. Dr. Tarulli utilizes a whole body approach to rehabilitation, applying principals of Integrated Therapeutics™ to manage injury and facilitate optimal athletic performance. He has experience consulting with recreational to elite level athletes and was chosen as a Medical Practitioner for the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan games. Dr. Tarulli has also gained international experience as team chiropractor for the Chinese national women’s hockey team. Dr. Tarulli is a provider of the following technique systems: Functional Range Release (FR), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Integrated Therapeutics™, and Functional Integrated Acupuncture.



Qamar Shasadah

Qamar is an experienced registered physiotherapist, practicing for almost 20 years, who believes in hands on and active therapy. He is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and he is a member of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He believes in giving life to years by taking an interdisciplinary and evidence based approach towards treatment interventions and patient education. He had the opportunity to serve as a first responder in multiple events such as the Canadian Rugby League, Robbie's International Soccer Tournaments, and cricket tournaments held in Toronto.

Mary Joy Cac

Physiotherapy Assistant

Mary Joy is strongly committed to promoting health and wellness. As a physiotherapy assistant and a member of the Physiomed Danforth team since 2008, her goal is to bring a broad spectrum of skills to her clients. She is a foreign-trained physiotherapist from the Philippines working on obtaining her Canadian physiotherapy license. She has extensive training in manual therapy, thermal and electrical therapies, and soft tissue therapy. Mary Joy helps her patients achieve their individual goals by implementing a wide variety of physiotherapy tools and working collaboratively with other healthcare providers. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.



Joseph Ocbena

Physiotherapy Assistant

Joseph is a foreign-trained physical therapist from the Philippines. Prior to migrating to Canada he has worked as head manager in the country's biggest fast food company. He also worked in a commercial bank as sales officer for 4 years. His last employment before leaving the Philippines was working in the I.T. industry as business development officer with Epson. His portfolio includes the top 200 corporations in the country among others and each consecutive year he would top the sales target for the entire country. Despite his skills in sales and marketing, he still has this desire for service and seeks the happiness that can only be found when working with patients and seeing them get back in their feet. Ever since he arrived Canada in 2012 he has continually attended courses and seminars to be at par with the present standards and to better equip himself with the necessary tools needed for patient care. He has previously worked as PTA in Physiomed Rogers Centre and after passing the written component of his license exams, practiced his physiotherapy residency at Physiomed Leslieville. Joseph has good knowledge and skills in the use of therapeutic modalities and equipments, soft tissue treatment, mysofascial treatment, PNF techniques and Therapeutic Exercises. His principle in practice is treating patients in a holistic approach and not just zooming in on one’s specific complaints. He spends most of his free time at the gym, watching movies and catching up with family and friends. He has been a Minister of the Word at St. Michael’s Cathedral since 2012.



Ciaran Persad

Ciaran is a graduate of the Kinesiology and Health Sciences program at York University. Since 2009, he has worked with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, and Orthopaedic Surgeons among other health and wellness professionals. He is a strong believer in the philosophy that: Given time, motivation and proper guidance any individual can improve their physical capacity. He understands that from the individual to society as a whole leading a healthy lifestyle is of paramount importance to long-term health and maintaining a high quality of life. His sporting background has focused on individual sports and systems of fitness, with an affinity for core strengthening exercises. Ciaran is committed to educating others about a variety of physical health and general wellness topics, and is constantly seeking new knowledge so that he may be better prepared to help the patients he works with.



Maria Teresa Ramirez

Registered Massage Therapist

Maria immigrated to Canada from the Philippines with her extensive experience in business management and customer service. She worked in various management positions prior to studying Massage Therapy in 2008. Maria graduated as one of the top students in the class from Everest College and got registered with College of Massage Therapist of Ontario in 2010. She has been in good standing with the College since then. She is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario. Maria has worked in a spa, MVA and other multidisciplinary clinics. She loves working with other healthcare professionals in providing relief for conditions related to soft tissues and joint dysfunctions. She is trained in Swedish Massage Therapy and specializes in Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue Treatments incorporated with other massage therapy techniques such as Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, PNF Stretching, Remedial Exercises and Hydrotherapy modalities. She also treats wide variety of clients ranging from Relaxation therapies, Lymphatic Drainage and Pregnancy Massage Therapy. Maria establishes a reliable and strong relationship with all her clients. Her treatments are all customized to each individual’s needs and wants. Nothing is more important than the client’s comfort. She believes that more than all these massage techniques, it is the genuine concern for people that helps facilitate fast relief of client's pain and discomfort.



Michelle Richardson

Registered Chiropodist/Foot Specialist

Michelle Richardson is a registered Chiropodist (foot specialist) with a decade of clinical experience. Prior to becoming a Chiropodist, Michelle trained and worked as a contemporary dancer. Because of this, she has a particular interest in biomechanics as part of a rehabilitation program. When not in the clinic, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
