Aquatic therapy is exercise or treatments that are performed in the water. Aqua therapy can be beneficial in treating a variety of medical conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, stroke recovery, diabetes, osteoporosis, joint pain and sports injuries.

Water resistance is a gentle but effective strengthening tool, ideal for recovery from serious injuries. Before patients are able to resume full weight-bearing activities, they may be able to begin exercising in the water. Aqua therapy is also an ideal way for older patients to receive gentle treatment and stay active.
