Active Release Technique (ART)

Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state of the art movement-based soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be treated with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they’re often a result of overused muscles.

What Is an Art Treatment Like?

As part of your Physiomed treatment, we’ll evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of your soft tissues – your muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. When we identify abnormal tissue, we treat it by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. ART is made up of over 500 unique moves that let help us identify and treat each patient’s condition.
