Sweety PatelClinical Director and Registered Physiotherapist PT
Sweety is an internationally trained physiotherapist who is registered with the College of Physiotherapy, Ontario. Before moving to Canada, she has worked in Asia’s biggest hospital 'Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad' where she has treated a variety of patients suffering from musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and neurological conditions. Sweety believes that finding the root of the problem is the key for relieving the symptoms. By using individualized approach, thorough assessment, exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. She has treated countless patients of all ages suffering from injury, illness or disability. Apart from the work, Sweety indulges in such activities as hiking, playing badminton, swimming and spending time with friends and family.

Simone graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology (Hons.), continuing his education and achieving a Certified Athletic Therapist designation. Simone’s approach to therapy is patient-centered, he encourages personalized care, and has had excellent results with this style of treatment. Simone is passionate about getting people back into their optimal function, and is excited to see patients returning to their daily activities. Simone has been involved in multiple sports as an athletic therapist, first responder, athlete and coach for numerous years, generating a strong passion and diverse knowledge about the sport world and healthy living. In addition to working with the health experts at Physiomed, Simone also works with the Wheelchair Rugby Canada national team.
Dr. David AblackChiropractor DC, MSC, BED, BSC
Dr. David Ablack has been coaching Olympic Weightlifting and incorporating these disciplines into strength and power programs for over 30 years. He has helped numerous professional, semi professional, national, world, and elite level athletes over the years. These include the NHL, NFL, CFL, Canadian National, and Olympic teams in figure skating, sprint canoe, synchronized swimming, bobsleigh and more. Dr. Ablack’s approach to training, health and wellness is a trifecta. A combination of technical training to increase functional strength and power. Along with soft tissue therapy to optimize mobility and recovery, and a foundation of healthy nutrition. He is trained in ART, acupuncture, dry needling and combines hands on techniques with modalities during his sessions. Dr. Ablack is passionate about helping people improve their functional movement patterns, strength, and power with a science based approach.

Dr. Guru KandasamySports Medicine Physician BSc, MD, DC, CCFP, Dip.Sport Med.
Dr. Guru Kandasamy is licensed Sports Medicine Specialist and one of the top integrative health practitioners in Toronto with extensive training in Medicine, Acupuncture, Chiropractic & Kinesiology. Before earning his medical degree, he obtained his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and became certified in Medical Acupuncture through McMaster University’s Department of Anesthesia. He completed his residency at Michigan State University with focused PGY-III Sports Medicine training. Following his post-graduate training, Dr. Kandasamy earned his Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine (CASEM) and received his GP Focused Practice Designation in Sports Medicine granted by the Ontario Medical Association & Ministry of Health. Dr. Kandasamy is a board-certified physician in both Canada & the United States and cares for athletes in professional sports organizations including the NHL, OHL, MLB, NFL, CFL. His clinical expertise includes multidisciplinary management of sport-specific injuries, musculoskeletal procedural ultrasonography, and regenerative medicine with Platelet-Rich Plasma and Viscosupplementation injections. Dr. Kandasamy is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto, and holds a Clinical Academic Appointment in its Faculty of Medicine, where he continues to teach Integrative Sports Medicine to aspiring medical students and residents.
Dr. Nishchay KaushalFamily & Sports Medicine Physician BSc (Hons), MBChB, CCFP
Dr. Nishchay Kaushal graduated medical school from the University of St. Andrews (BSc) and University of Edinburgh (MBChB). He attended the Family Medicine Residency program at the University of Toronto and graduated in 2023 with his Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). Based out of Sunnybrook Hospital throughout his residency, Dr. Kaushal garnered extensive experience in comprehensive family medicine as well as further developed his interest in sports and exercise medicine. Dr. Kaushal is passionate about helping patient’s lead active and healthy lifestyles. Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Kaushal enjoys travelling, spending time with his family and getting out on the golf course or tennis courts.

Silvio graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and postgraduate degree in people and business management. He has extensive experience in rehabilitating traumatic and sports injuries as well as in caring for the elderly and professional/amateur athletes. His practice always aims to set the gold standard when it comes to patient care and continuous personal growth.

Kristin Val CarrilloReceptionist
Kristin Val Carrillo is an Internationally Educated Nurse, who got her degree in Nursing at Brokenshire College in Philippines in 2006. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 13 years both in the Philippines and in Saudi Arabia and is currently studying at Sault College, Toronto Campus taking up Healthcare Leadership Canadian context. She has a passion for taking care of patients and their families and will make sure all patients feel comfortable and satisfied with the services at Physiomed Toronto - St. Clair.
