North York is a growing community that has developed from its agricultural roots and has become a sprawling suburb. A growing population raises the need for high-quality healthcare services. We are proud to meet this growing demand by providing an integrative approach to treating many health issues.
North York also has a diverse population. Its neighbourhoods are made up of an array of cultures, making it one of the most popular locations to live in. This has allowed us to gain the experience to treat individuals from all walks of life in an effort to improve their health and overcome chronic health concerns. The local district is home to many of the area’s major hospitals such as North York General and Humber River Regional Hospital. This makes Physiomed an integral part of the healthcare services available to all local residents.
Mina has been a registered physiotherapist since 2017. He is a graduate of physiotherapy equivalency program, McGill University. He has obtained bachelor degree of Physiotherapy from Cairo University, Egypt. He completed Level 1, Level 2 lower Quadrant manual therapy courses with Canadian Physiotherapy Association – Orthodiv. He is in process of taking the remaining levels in order to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT). In addition to his manual therapy courses. he has completed McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy – Part A: The Lumbar Spine. He has been able to explore different aspects of musculoskeletal rehabilitation having worked in private orthopedic clinics for eight years before coming to Canada. For the past years he was at a specialized clinic in Toronto where he had the opportunity to work with the general population as well as a number of athletes including marathoners, soccer/hockey players, professional boxers and MMA/UFC fighters. Mina has found his best outcomes result from treatment focused on education and exercise, often augmented with manual therapy and electrotherapy modalities In his spare time, Mina enjoys staying active with strength and conditioning training, as well as playing soccer and training Muay thai Having already made his impression in the field of rehabilitation with his progressive and open- minded methodology, Mina is looking forward to being an impact player with Physiomed team
Dillon is our newest PTA who has joined our team. He is currently pursuing his degree in Kinesiology at The University of Guelph Humber. He leads the community program at the clinic, where he oversees and constructs a variety of different workout programs for our members. On his spare time Dillon enjoys working out and playing a variety of sports which is reflected in his day to day specialties with his patients during their sessions together.
Anna has been an employee of Physiomed since 2010. She has an educational background in Human Resources Management, but with many years of working in the medical industry, she has gravitated towards getting the community healthier. Her expertise is working with Insurance companies, Legal advisors and WSIB case managers to insure accurate administrative documents. Her knowledge is extremely beneficial to patients that require assistants with Insurance companies so they can focus on their care.
Elise is a graduate of Western University where she completed her degree in Health Science (BHSc) with a focus on rehabilitation sciences, which emphasize the goal of improving quality of life. Elise strives to make exercising fun and enjoyable regardless of one’s fitness level or previous injuries and conditions through individualized treatment programs tailored to meet every individual's specific goals and needs. Outside of work Elise enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Ali has been with Physiomed since 2004 and is a registered chiropodist and chiropractor. He enjoys treating patients with a wide variety of conditions from foot and ankle pain to back and neck pain. Ali takes pride in helping people regain their health.
Dr. Jasmine Baronette earned her Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. Prior to enrolling at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2011, she worked in the health and wellness field for 3 years, gaining a better perspective on the health needs of the Toronto community. Dr. Baronette completed 4 years of Chiropractic education including a 12-month internship treating patients in both the downtown Toronto and Oakville areas, which gave her invaluable experience with a wide range of patient populations. She is a registered member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. Dr. Baronette uses a variety of diversified treatment techniques uniquely tailored to meet her patients’ needs. These include spinal manipulation and mobilization, myofascial release technique, instrument-assisted soft tissue treatment, rehabilitation and exercise prescription, as well as the use of modalities including: low level laser therapy, ultrasound and interferential current. She is passionate about Chiropractic and aims to help her patients discover the healing capability of their bodies.
Ashley joined our team in 2018. She loves helping people and seeing her patients get healthier. Ashley enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her cat!
Swati is a Licensed Physical Therapist registered with the College of Physiotherapists , Ontario. She did her Masters in Neurological Conditions from Mumbai , India and has been practicing for over 7 years now. She has her expertise in treating neurological conditions , orthopaedic and sports injuries and treats MVA as well as WSIB cases Every assessment and treatment plan is exclusive and custom-made recognizing the needs and abilities of every patient as a unique entity. She has a passion for healing and adopts a holistic approach for an overall recovery for her patients.
