Who Is Physiomed?

Physiomed is one of Canada’s largest and fastest growing chains of healthcare clinics. Physiomed’s founder, Dr. Scott Wilson, began helping Canadians improve their health in 1994. Since then, Physiomed has grown to over thirty clinics, and is now expanding across Canada. With hundreds of highly skilled healthcare professionals from over a dozen healthcare disciplines, we’re proud to improve the health and wellness of thousands of people.

One week after isolation was enough time apart for our Physiomed family. We have been meeting weekly via zoom to have real conversations about how we are doing. We share ideas how to keep strong during these times and discuss plans for the future reopening. (Gah! That thought makes us so nervous and excited!!! More on how we will be keeping you safe when we do open coming soon 🎉 ....stay posted!) .

Hip Opener - Lizard Pose 🦎

Tight hips? Hip Opener Yoga Positions are a great tool to help. Maintaining proper spinal alignment and listening to your body is key to avoid hurting yourself.

1️⃣In the first pic, the position is held comfortably, feeling a stretch, and alignment is well maintained.

2️⃣In the second pic, the position is strained, the stretch is intense, and the spine is rounding = poor alignment.
It is safer in this case to stick with the first position and slowly work on improving flexibility, by the use of blocks and/or other hip opener stretches.

✅The Lizard stretches inner hamstrings and groin while challenging core stability and upper body.
