Given that the average person takes between 5,000 to 10,000 steps a day (or roughly 185,000km over a lifetime), it’s not surprising that we see a large number of patients suffering from various types of acute and chronic foot pain including things like tendonitis, heel spurs, bunions or Morton’s Neuroma (nerve compression). However, while there is a variety of symptoms and conditions, the caused is often the same; poor foot health, or more specifically, poor arches and limited strength/mobility (poor bio-mechanics).
In the following video, Dr. Jason Lemieux of Physiomed Oakville talks about the importance of proper foot health and demonstrates some tools and techniques that can help to provide greater strength and support to your feet.
