When many people think about resolving knee pain, they think of doing exercises to strengthen the knees themselves. However, a lot of recent research points to the importance of what surrounds and supports the knees; in particular, the hips and the ankles & feet. When you think about it, this makes perfect sense given that any weakness or poor movement patterns (bio-mechanics) from above or below that allows the knee to rotate and collapse inward is going to create problems in the form of stress, strains and general weakness that can even lead to injury.
